Joy in Motion: Confetti Mini Session Photography in Wausau, WI

Confetti, toys, and big belly laughs — that’s how this Wausau confetti mini session went!

Lexy and Clyde brought so much energy and joy, and it was impossible not to smile along with them. From flying confetti to playful “destruction” with construction vehicles, this family photography session was pure fun from start to finish.

We began in one of my studio play spaces, where Clyde dove right into the toys — the play kitchen, Duplo Legos, and crayons kept him busy and curious. He even got a little mischievous, tossing a few toys here and there, which made us all laugh. That playful spirit gave us the perfect cue to transition into the studio room, where he could really let loose in the best way possible.

And that’s where the magic happened — confetti everywhere! Clyde lit up as he grabbed handfuls and threw them high, showering mom with sparkle while she laughed and smiled through it all. It was the perfect outlet for a little boy’s boundless energy: just enough “destruction” to feel like a party, but all in good fun.

Clyde’s construction vehicles and toy bus even joined in, adding their own kind of playful chaos as they “plowed” through piles of confetti. My son Everett came along to help, and Clyde loved having an older kid there to play with and share the excitement.

Through it all, Lexy was the sweetest — so outgoing and fun, embracing every moment of confetti chaos right alongside Clyde. Her laughter, his curiosity, and their connection filled the studio with joy. As a Wausau family photographer, these are the sessions I adore most: a little messy, a lot playful, and full of memories that sparkle long after the confetti has settled.

If you’re in Central Wisconsin and ready to capture playful, joyful moments like these with your own family, I’d love to help! Book your confetti mini session or reach out to chat about creating a session that celebrates your family’s personality. Together, we’ll make memories that shine as bright as your family.
