🎉 Confetti Mini Sessions in Wausau: Colorful, Fun Family Photos You’ll Love
When I started planning the grand opening for my studio, I knew one thing for sure: there had to be confetti.
I definitely got a few looks when I mentioned it. A couple of people even asked, “Won’t that be a mess?” And yeah—it is a little messy. But honestly? I don’t care. Because if there’s one thing I’m absolutely obsessed with, it’s taking pictures with confetti.
First, it’s just not a celebration without it. Confetti has been one of my favorite things since I was a kid. It’s fun, it’s colorful, and it brings out pure joy in the people around it.
Second, the photos. That magical moment when the confetti starts falling—kids laughing, families playing, the swirl of color in the air—it creates some of the most vibrant, joy-filled images I’ve ever captured.
And third, there’s a deeper reason I love confetti: it feels like a fresh start. From New Year’s Eve countdowns to Easter cascarones in the spring, confetti is tied to new beginnings. There’s something symbolic in that quick burst of color and chaos—it marks the start of something fresh, exciting, and worth remembering.
That’s why I launched Confetti Mini Sessions at my Wausau studio. They’re quick, bold, playful, and full of movement—just like the families I photograph. And yes, they’re a little messy. But life’s messy. And the messiest moments are often the ones we treasure most.
My own kids helped me celebrate the grand opening of the studio by throwing and playing in the confetti—and the results were so much fun. Bold, silly, joyful, and full of energy. You can check out some of my favorite shots below.
If you can picture your kids mid-giggle, confetti flying, and all that happiness frozen in time—this session is for you. It’s playful. It’s different. And it’s the kind of memory you’ll want to look back on again and again.
